What Dental Conditions Can Invisalign Treat?
Although Invisalign clear aligners are more comfortable and discreet than traditional braces, they operate similarly. Invisalign aligners apply controlled and continuous pressure to optimize your teeth’ alignment.
Invisalign can address the following dental concerns:
- Crowded teeth
- Crooked teeth
- Gaps between teeth
- Malocclusion such as overbite, under bite, or crossbite
Consistency is key with Invisalign, and during treatment, you must wear your aligners for 22 hours every day, including while sleeping, to make sure to get your desired results.
Another Invisalign perk is how easy the aligners are to remove and clean. This allows you to continue eating all the foods you love without the worry of anything getting stuck in wires like with traditional wire braces. You just need to remember to brush your teeth before putting your braces on to avoid food deposits or stains.
How Long Does Invisalign Treatment Take?
The duration of Invisalign treatment varies depending on individual cases, but on average, it takes about 12 to 18 months. Some cases may be shorter or longer, depending on the complexity of the alignment issues.
Is Invisalign Treatment Right for You?
Invisalign is suitable for many people, but not everyone. It is best suited for mild to moderate orthodontic issues. Severe cases may require traditional braces or other orthodontic treatments. An initial consultation with Frisco's Dentists will help determine if it's the right treatment for you.

What to Expect During Your Invisalign Treatment in Collin and Denton Counties
During your initial Invisalign consultation, we conduct a careful examination of your teeth and jaw to ensure that this orthodontic treatment is an appropriate fit for you. If we decide to go ahead with Invisalign, we take x-rays and impressions of your teeth. We send them to the lab for them to create your first tray of clear aligners.
You usually need to swap your custom-fit set of aligners every couple of weeks until you reach your goal. However, we do not need to perform an evaluation every time you get a new tray of aligners. We only evaluate your progress every four to six weeks.
After completion of your treatment, we provide you with a custom-made Invisalign retainer. You usually need to wear it during daytime and nighttime before switching to nighttime use only. The retainer plays an important role in maintaining your Invisalign results in the long term.
